We took another scenic detour, this time along the coast from Thirroul, stopping for a…

Charging:
In Thirroul, we tried the first pole mounted charger we’ve seen. This one by EVX. It was a bit of a faf really. Apart from requiring our own cable, we also had to set up another app to pay for it. It has the typical destination charger speed of 11kW, which you’d normally get for free at a shopping center or similar. It was worth the experiment, but I won’t bother again. We only plugged in while we had a driving break (the usual toilet, coffee, cake, and a stretch).
The place we stopped for lunch, in Kirrawee, conveniently had a bank of Tesla Superchargers. Ten seconds to plug in and walk away. The car was fully charged before we returned.
We didn’t need either of these chargers to get to our destination of Erina. But, we prefer to plug in whenever we’re parked.
