Morning drive out to Blue Lotus Water Garden near Yarra Junction.

The entry fee is $24.50 per adult. The gardens are extensive and amazing. If I read correctly, they are the biggest summer supplier of water lily seed pods to Melbourne and Sydney.

I should have realised that their opening time of 10am means that the cafe doesn’t serve breakfast. The lunch options are limited. We had a “brunch” of quiche/pie, salad and chips – baked on site and delicious.

At first I misread one sign as “Supercharger” but it was actually “Supercharged Pink” which I presume is a flower variety.

Charging:

Our car was all charged up from the sun, the day before. We don’t need to charge while out on day trips. But it would be great to see EV charging at the Blue Lotus for long distance visitors. There are fast chargers in nearby towns such as Yarra Junction.
